The 3rd annual Leavenworth Film Festival is scheduled for Saturday May 30th, 2015 at the Leavenworth Festhalle. As in years past, this year’s event will feature around 2 hours of short films in 4 categories including Outdoor Sports & Adventure, Point-of-View (filmed 100% with a GoPro or Contour-like camera), Documentary/Narrative, and Pacific Northwest, as well as a half-time show with live performances. Icicle Brewing Company beer, Kestrel Vintners wine, and Good Mood Food treats will be available for sale, and a door raffle will award the lucky with prizes such as seasons passes to area mountain resorts, performance wear, and private getaway packages. Doors are set to open at 5:30pm, with films scheduled to start 45 minutes to an hour later.

Leavenworth Film Festival 2015 PosterWe like themed parties here in Leavenworth, so once again we’re asking attendees to bust out those suits, tux’s, dresses, and gowns for a formal and fun evening of film, art, culture, and live performance. Take a quick ride in the stretch limo by Le Tours stationed outside the Festhalle, then walk the red carpet with Paparazzi flashes flickering away. Get your picture taken in front of our movie premier-style backdrop with the Leavenworth Film Festival’s coveted award, the Golden Nutcracker.

Tickets are on sale now at LeavenworthFilmFestival.org for $10 in advance, or you can get them for $15 at the door. Kids are $5 in advance or at the door. In addition to being entered into the door raffle, this year’s ticket also gets you into the Day 2 Filmmaker Presentations at the Snowy Owl Theater from 12pm – 4pm on Sunday May 31st. Presentations will cover a range of topics from professional athletes and those in the film industry with the aim of inspiring, educating, and connecting those interested in film. Without a main event ticket, access to Day 2 will cost $5 at the door.

Presented by Icicle TV in connection with the Ski Hill Heritage Foundation, all proceeds from this year’s event will go to the Ski Hill Memorial Project. In the last two years, the film festival has donated $3,000 to the Ski Hill Memorial Project and $1,000 to the Leavenworth Ice Rink Project. Thanks for all your support!

Icicle TV and the Ski Hill Heritage Foundation would also like to thank all the area sponsors who have signed on to show their support for this inspiring annual community event!
