Our little corner of the world isn’t just pretty, it’s audaciously awe-inspiring with expansive views of varied environments and natural wonders all around, especially in spring when the wildflowers are blooming. Here’s an image of a hillside covered with Arrowleaf Balsamroot as the morning sun casts long shadows and wispy clouds seem to interact with the trees.

This bright yellow flower is everywhere in North Central Washington right now, from residential roads and yards, to untamed hillsides and high mountain ridges. I don’t know about you, but it seems like the Arrowleaf Balsamroot should be the official unofficial wildflower of Leavenworth, WA. What do you think?
