We’ve all seen how busy our local waterway the Wenatchee River can get during the summer months, and unfortunately not everyone practices the “pack it in, pack it out” mentality. As the season winds down, join Leavenworth Outdoor Center for their annual Wenatchee River Clean Up on the morning of Sunday August 30th, with lots of off-river fun to follow.

Tubing on the Wenatchee River in Leavenworth, WA

Bring family and friends and join your community for a fun float on the Leavenworth portion of the Wenatchee River, from the Icicle Creek Rd bridge to Waterfront Park, while picking up trash and cleaning up the river along the way. Free coffee and cocoa at check-in, plus tube, personal flotation device, paddles, clean up supplies, and shuttle from LOC to Icicle Creek Rd Bridge included.

The clean up float will be followed by live music, a raffle, games, and discounted food and beverages at Der Hinterhof Beer Garden. Check-in at Leavenworth Outdoor Center located at 321 9th St in downtown Leavenworth between 9am – 12pm. This is another great opportunity to volunteer your time for a good cause and be a steward of our beautiful river.
