The front facade of the over 100 year old Whistling Post Tavern in Skykomish, Washington still stands but the remainder of the historic buliding has been reduced to rubble and char.  A chain link fence surrounds the community center turned crime scene, victim of an alleged arson attack, and a sign on the door offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

A long time haunt of generations of ski bums from Stevens Pass and locals alike, the Whistling Post held a special place in many of our hearts and visitors have left cans of PBR and flowers in memory of what was the best dive bar in the Northwest.
