Following the epic, January storm cycles, back country enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest were blessed with a week of blue skies.  Icicle TV staff followed Brett Lotz up Cannon Mountain for a descent of the Cannon Couloir.  Having skied the past few days in the Stevens Pass region we were eager to try something different.  On the ascent we were greeted by a thinner snow pack.  Up on the exposed ridge we encountered cold temperatures and strong easterly winds,which transported loose snow into the couloir resulting in isolated pockets of instability.  In summary, it was a beautiful day to play in the big mountains.  Enjoy the visuals.
