The Enchantments. The very name conjures the imagination. This range of granite peaks draws hikers and climbers from the world over to experience the sublime alpine beauty. This last week local climber Blake Herrington and friends hiked into the Aasgard pass area intent on climbing the modern classic route Acid Baby, but that’s where things took a turn for the unexpected.

On a whim the trio detoured up into unexplored territory, climbing splitter cracks and knob studded faces. Their adventure represents everything that’s great about climbing: ground up, wild and free. We won’t spill the beans, you can read the full story on Blake’s blog.
