Throughout the summer, the team at Icicle TV has had the opportunity to film at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts as part of a 3 part video project. Icicle Creek, sister property to the Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort, serves as a cultural highlight in our region and a place to learn as well as to enjoy world class performances.
The following video was created for the Gala event held on September 15th in the meadow at Icicle Creek and feature interviews by founder Harriet Bullit, Wilfred Woods of the Wenatchee World, and Marketing Director Lilia Grundy, along with footage from many of their performances and educational programs.
The gala event, sponsored by Macy’s, the Wenatchee World, Mitchell, Reed & Schmitten Inc., Cordell Neher & Co., Cashmere Valley Bank and Icicle TV, raised $102,305 thanks to generous supporters with special thanks to matching funds from the Sleeping Lady Foundation.
This funding directly supports educational programs and outreach efforts to bring music and theater to the young people of North Central Washington. As schools cut back, with the communitie’s help Icicle Creek can do more to make sure that young people have opportunities to develop a love for the arts.
