The Leavenworth Pavillion and Ice Rink (LPIR) is moving closer towards becoming a reality with the completion of updated renderings and plans for securing the location and funding.
The Leavenworth Ski Hill Heritage Foundation (LSHHF) will be presenting to the City Council tonight (August 3rd) to develop a partnership to seek out state funding. 100% of the design documents are completed with this image interpreting the closest concept of what will be built. Date of construction is to be determined.
LPIR is working to secure ownership of the parking lot, located next to the Festhalle in Downtown Leavenworth and is anticipated to occur September 2013. Additionally, LPIR will be releasing a new logo, marketing, and fundraising campaign which is slated to kick off this fall.

The concept of a local ice rink has been part of the Leavenworth Parks Plan for over 30 years. This City of Leavenworth park will feature an Old World Bavarian design that will welcome both residents and visitors. The open-air structure will have a refrigerated concrete floor that will provide an ice sheet from November to March. From April to September, the Pavilion will offer a covered staging area for theater, concerts, auto shows, art exhibitions, markets, & Leavenworth’s renowned Oktoberfest.
