ski_hill_lodge-1Mark Milliette, former general manager of Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort, has accepted the general manager position at the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club.

Milliette replaces Bob Black, who resigned to pursue other opportunities in Oregon.  Bob Black managed Leavenworth Winter Sports Club for 6 years.  During his period of management the Club benefited from increased sales, groomer and building upgrades, and additional trail venues.

Milliette resigned from Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort in April 2012 after 14 years as general manager.  Milliette will establish an office at the Leavenworth Ski Hill with a goal to improve alpine sales.  LWSC is most recognized for their Nordic trails.

The club, which dates to 1928, operates two alpine rope tows, a tubing hill, a Nordic jumping hill and 26 kilometers of Nordic ski trails. The club hosts more than 20 races and community events throughout the year and employs more than 45 seasonal employees.
