Festival-goers found fun ways to beat the heat at the 2nd Annual Dirty Face Music & Arts Fest at Thousand Trails Campground in Plain, WA this past Saturday.
With temperatures hovering in the high-90’s this past weekend, several sprinklers and a kids slip & slide were popular gathering areas.
6 bands, plus 4 live performances by dancers and aerialists entertained the crowds from 1-11pm, while attendees enjoyed Icicle Brewing Company beers & BBQ from Smokin’ Joe’s. On-site vendors sold homemade lemonade (the Huckleberry flavor was my personal favorite), artwork, jewelry, disc golf gear, and more, while another booth was doing face-painting and temporary tattoos. A huge raffle awarded winners with large prize packages with everything from wine, to food, to home goods, to outdoor gear, and so much more.
Watch for next year’s event, presented by Artis, to be even bigger & better as it enters it’s 3rd year. Follow Artis on Facebook for more festival photos & info, as well as details on all their local arts programs.
