Leavenworth has everything needed for world class mountain biking-great weather, beautiful mountains, a passionate group of local riders….everything that is except for a single track trail system.  The lack of sanctioned trails in the Leavenworth area and the resulting friction between mountain bikers and the forest service was the focus of the documentary, “Pedal Driven”, produced by Howell at the Moon.

Fast forward a few years and the dream of a true biking trail system is close to becoming a reality.  We caught up with representatives from the Forest Service and Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance to learn how they are working together to finalize a plan for putting shovel to dirt to begin building trails at Ski Hill.
