It’s the end of October. Colorful leaves light the roadsides, riverbanks, and ridge lines. And as of this week, winter whites are now visible in the high country just outside of Leavenworth, WA. The next sign of the changing of the seasons is upon us, and for many this is a very welcomed sight. For now, we continue climbing, biking, and get back to river play thanks to some autumn rains. But really, we’re patiently waiting for that white line to creep down into the valley and make our backyard a winter playground once again. Until then, enjoy this early image of the first snows of the 2015-2016 winter season shot from above the fog this morning on Mountain Home Road. And, smile. Winter will be upon us soon enough!
