Winter is ending (maybe) and it looks like the rock is drying out.  We managed to get out to local climbing areas this weekend for a few short climbs in Tumwater Canyon.  February Buttress and the lower climbs at Hobo Gulch are dry and snow free.  We’ve seen many parties on Groundhog’s Day and have had reports of folks going up to the upper tier of Castle Rock, although Lower Castle still has snow at the base.

Peshastin Pinnacles is also reported to be open.  In the Icicle Canyon, but the rock looks dry in many places.  Expect to wade through snow on the approach to get to dry rock.  For best luck, check out south facing slopes higher on the hill side.

Bring a rope bag and perhaps a shovel and keep an eye out for ticks-we managed to pull three of them off the dogs already.
