Just a quick update for today’s conditions at Stevens. The word is deeeeep! We still have the Arctic air seeping in from up north keeping the temperatures below seasonal normals which in turn is offering us the greatest snow on the planet right now! It’s 5 stars all-time best ever snow conditions. Although avalanche conditions are going to extreme for Wednesday good friend and avalanche forecaster Harlan Sheppard says “it’s a great time to be at the ski area, they do avalanche control work and it’s much safer than the backcountry at the moment”. It looks as if the skiing conditions will be premium for the powder enthusiast for at least the next 2 weeks!
